MISSION
The mission of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association shall be to serve its members, enabling them to advance the practice and science of pharmacy.

Advocate
Protecting and advancing the pharmacy profession requires constant vigilance. We actively identify, monitor, and respond to current and emerging practice opportunities and threats, ensuring the voice of pharmacy is heard where decisions are made. With your involvement, we remain a powerful and credible advocate on your behalf.

Educate
SCPhA delivers cutting‑edge educational content to help you stay current, meet your professional development requirements, and practice at the top of your license. Through live and on‑demand offerings, we equip pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.

Engage
We connect our members to one another, to leaders, and to resources that strengthen their practice and careers. Through committees, academies, events, and volunteer opportunities, SCPhA fosters an engaged community where members collaborate, share ideas, and help shape the future of pharmacy.

Promote
We champion the value of pharmacy professionals to patients, policymakers, payers, and healthcare partners. By showcasing the impact of pharmacists and pharmacy teams on health outcomes, access, and safety, we elevate the profession’s visibility and influence across South Carolina and beyond.
Meet Our Members

Betsy Blake
Member SpotlightSCPhA provides me with so many avenues to support and promote my profession while also allowing me numerous opportunities to develop new and enhance old friendships within the pharmacy profession! Advocacy. Education. Professional Advancement. And more! So much to gain from being a part of SCPhA!

Dr. Tremain Cooper
Member SpotlightI'm a member of SCPhA because I'd like to give back to the industry that has given so much to me. The role of the local independent community pharmacy was elevated during the pandemic. Also, my role as a pharmacist working in public health was elevated during the pandemic. I was on the front lines unlike any other time in my 15-year career. SCPhA has always been at the center of the work that advances the profession. I'd like to contribute to the best of my ability.

Dr. John Pugh
Member SpotlightSCPhA provides the best avenue for advocacy on the state level, and it is imperative that pharmacy be represented adequately to governmental entities and payers.

Dr. Laceye Parker
Member SpotlightAs a chain community retail pharmacist leader, it is important to be actively involved in the association. Every voice in our profession needs to be heard in order to continue to advocate for improvements in healthcare to provide better services for our patients and community.

Dr. Julie Sease
Member SpotlightBeing a member of SCPhA is important to me because of the connections the association allows me to maintain with colleagues across the state. Relationships are important to me and SCPhA helps me stay in touch with pharmacy friends I might otherwise lose contact with. I am also passionate about advocating for advancements in pharmacy practice and changes that will improve patient care. SCPhA is passionate about those same things! Together, our collective voice is so much more powerful than any single voice alone. I support SCPhA because I know that SCPhA is working hard to advocate for pharmacists like me each and every day.

Anna Funderburk
Member SpotlightSouth Carolina is my home state and future practice site. My membership with SCPhA is valuable to me as a student because it allows me to stay informed on everything happening within the profession. I am passionate about the advancement of pharmacy practice in South Carolina, so I think it is important to support an organization that is also striving to ensure South Carolina’s pharmacists are providing excellent patient care.
