2027 Nomination Form

Interested in holding a leadership position on SCPhA’s Board of Directors or House of Delegates?
Nomination form must be received before March 1st.

The following Board of Director positions are open for nominations:

President-Elect: Board of Directors
Term: 1 year (automatically advances to President and then transitions to Immediate-Past President)
Supports the President in all duties, assists with committee coordination, and contributes to strategic planning and advocacy initiatives. Gains familiarity with Board operations in preparation to assume the presidency.

At-Large Director: Board of Directors
Term: 1 year (eligible for re-election up to three consecutive terms) 
Serve as voting members of the Board representing the general membership. Provide input on policy, strategic initiatives, and member needs while supporting programs and advocacy efforts across the state.

Treasurer: Board of Directors
Term: 2 years
Oversees the Association’s financial integrity and fiscal accountability. Reviews budgets, monitors financial performance, and works closely with staff and accountants to ensure sound financial management.
*The Treasurer is elected in even years.

Speaker-Elect, House of Delegates: Board of Directors
Term: 1 year (automatically advances to Speaker)
Assists the Speaker in organizing and conducting House of Delegates meetings, prepares to assume the Speaker role, and represents the House on the Board. Participates in governance and leadership development.

Lowcountry Region Director: Board of Directors
Midlands Region Director: Board of Directors
Upstate Region Director: Board of Directors
Pee Dee Region Director: Board of Directors
Term: 2 years
Serve as voting members of the Board representing the general membership. Provide input on policy, strategic initiatives, and member needs while supporting programs and advocacy efforts across the state.
*Lowcountry and Midlands Region Directors are elected in even years.
*Upstate and Pee Dee Region Directors are elected in odd years.

The SCPhA House of Delegates is currently seeking members to fill the following positions:

Lowcountry Delegates
Midlands Delegates
Upstate Delegates
Pee Dee Delegates

Delegate Role Expectations:
Term: 2 years (as specified in Bylaws)
Represents members within their district or academy in the House of Delegates. Reviews and votes on resolutions, bylaws, and policies that guide SCPhA’s direction. Expected to attend House sessions and communicate outcomes to constituents.
*Lowcountry and Midlands Delegates are elected in even years.
*Upstate and Pee Dee Delegates are elected in odd years.

The number of delegates is determined annually by the number of members in each region. To identify your SCPhA region, please refer to the information below.

If you are interested in nominating yourself or another member for an open leadership position, nominations must include 15 signatures from active members for Board of Directors positions or 5 signatures of active members of the applicable region for Delegate positions, submitted and received at the SCPhA office by March 1.

Candidates may also be nominated from the floor of the House of Delegates during the February meeting, with the approval of the House. No signatures are required for floor nominations. 

Determine your Region

The four Region Directors, whose duties are specified in Article II Section 6 of the Bylaws, shall serve two-year terms of office with Pee Dee and Upstate Region Directors elected in odd-numbered years and the Midlands and Lowcountry Directors elected in the even-numbered years. A Region Director and delegates to the House of Delegates shall be elected by the active Association members residing in that region of the state. The Regions are designated as follows:

2026 Election Information

Voting will be open from April 1– April 30.
Bios will be available on the secure voting site. 

Voter Eligibility

In order to vote, you must be an ACTIVE member of SCPhA. This means you must be a current member of SCPhA,

AND

You must be one of the following member types:

• Full Member (includes Friend, Leader and Visionary levels)
• Vested Member
• Life Member
• Spouse/Joint Member
• First Year Member
• Retired Member

Timeline

You will receive an email that contains your Member ID and the link to our secure election website. You will need your Member ID and email (if you do not have an email use noemail@scrx.org) in order to log in to the secure election website. The site will not open until April 1 at 8:00 am.
*If you have not received this email, please contact the SCPhA office.

April 1
Voting will officially open at 8 am.

April 30
Deadline to vote. Email reminder will be sent first thing in the morning.  Online polls will close at midnight. Votes will be tallied by the third-party company, and official results will be sent to the SCPhA.
